This dataset provides forecasted hourly and daily fire danger ratings using the Canadian Fire Weather Index System (HFWI and DFWI). Predictions are derived from the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model with 4- and 12-km grid spacing, covering western Canada and the United States/Canada. It includes six moisture codes and indexes within the FWI system and the four weather inputs used to derive the FWI system. The data is formatted in NetCDF files, with a total of 4140 files generated for each day forecast from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2023.
