Simulations of larval zebrafish spinal speed circuits (Supplementary data for Topcu and Bui (2025))
Description: | This repository contains supplementary data and figures that are associated with a computational modelling study. This study investigates the neuronal composition of spinal circuits in developing zebrafish that underlie various tailbeat ranges in developing zebrafish that are believed to underlie various swimming speeds. Neuron properties and connectivity of spinal neurons were derived from published data. Our simulation results support the existence of speed microcircuits in spinal cords of zebrafish and provide testable hypothesis about the control of these microcircuits as well as the activity pattern of their constituent neurons. |
