Dataset used in the publication 'Soluble Carbon Nitride Nanosheets as an Alternate Precursor for Hard-Templated Morphological Control'
Description: | Data used in the main figures of the 2022 publication Soluble Carbon Nitride Nanosheets as an Alternate Precursor for Hard-Templated Morphological Control in the journal Nanoscale (DOI: 10.1039/D2NR04129D). The dataset contains characterization and activity data for a series of carbon nitride samples. Mesoporous silica was used to control the morphologies of carbon nitride prepared from a water-soluble acidified carbon nitride nanosheets. The silica was dissolved and carbon nitrides with different morphologies were obtained. Structural (FTIR, XRD, XPS, NMR) and optical (TAS, PIAS) characterizations were obtained for the series of samples in order to explain the differences observed in photocatalytic hydrogen production in triethanolamine solutions. The data was generated to better understand how changes in morphologies affect electronic structure and the photocatalytic activity of carbon nitrides. |
